About Safeer and the Role

Safeer is seeking a Solar Project Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on the comprehensive design, engineering, and site supervision of Solar PV projects.

Role Purpose

The Solar Project Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end design and engineering processes for all Solar PV projects and tenders. This includes critical oversight of installation, testing, and commissioning phases to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and meet all technical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design and engineer Solar Rooftop, Ground-Mounted, and Carport projects, including equipment selection, layout creation, schematic diagrams, technical calculations, sizing, and preparation of Bill of Quantity (BOQ) and Capex.
Conduct site visits, perform site feasibility assessments, and develop solar system designs tailored to customer requirements.
Participate in meetings with customers, contractors, and suppliers, and prepare all necessary technical submittals and secure approvals.
Collaborate closely with contractors, suppliers, and consultants on all technical aspects, ensuring that all technical obligations to customers are fulfilled and comply with local standards.
Supervise and execute detailed design, approval processes, permits acquisition, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar projects, providing daily support to contractors.
Provide up-to-date daily or weekly project status reports to relevant stakeholders.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 0-1 years of experience in solar PV project design, engineering, or a closely related field. This role is suitable for individuals at the start of their career in renewable energy.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time employment opportunity based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves both office-based design work and on-site supervision at various project locations.
