Spa Therapist

About the Role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a Spa Therapist to join their team in Ad Diriyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing a range of massage and body treatments to guests, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the service. The Spa Therapist will maintain high standards of service delivery and facility cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide massage services to guests using appropriate props and products.
• Administer body treatments, including scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications such as allergies, high blood pressure, or pregnancy before commencing services.
• Stay updated with current techniques and modalities relevant to spa therapy.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and arrange workstations, treatment rooms, and drapes.
• Regularly check with guests to ensure comfort, safety, and security during services.
• Promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools, and ensure the cleanliness of workstations and treatment rooms throughout the shift.
• Dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Adhere to the daily time schedule and manage inappropriate guest behavior according to Marriott International standard operating procedures, which may include stopping a treatment and informing a supervisor.
• Maintain current skills and licensure as per regional requirements.

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with colleagues and guests.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• Licensure: A State or Regional Massage License is required.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
