About iBuild and the Opportunity

iBuild, established in 2025 in Riyadh, is a startup dedicated to transforming the building materials market in Saudi Arabia through innovative digital solutions. Our platform addresses the challenges of traditional supply chains by offering a centralized, technology-driven marketplace that brings simplicity, transparency, and efficiency to material procurement. We are seeking a Vendor Acquisition Manager to lead our efforts in expanding our supplier network in Riyadh.

The Role of Vendor Acquisition Manager

This role is central to iBuild's growth, focusing on the end-to-end acquisition of new vendors, including suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and factories. The Manager will be responsible for strategically mapping the supplier landscape, identifying key partners, and securing agreements that enhance our platform's offering for buyers while ensuring sustainable commercial terms for the business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end acquisition process for new vendors, encompassing suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and factories.
Map the supplier landscape across priority material categories and develop a targeted list of essential vendors for the platform.
Initiate and cultivate relationships with potential vendors through direct outreach, site visits, industry networks, and trade events.
Present the iBuild value proposition to suppliers and convert interest into signed agreements.
Negotiate commercial terms, including pricing, margins, discounts, payment terms, and delivery commitments, to ensure competitiveness for buyers and sustainability for the business.
Evaluate and qualify potential vendors based on pricing, product range, capacity, quality certifications, delivery capability, and commercial reliability.
Benchmark vendor pricing against market rates to secure competitive terms for iBuild.
Address category and pricing gaps by identifying and onboarding vendors that meet specific buyer demands.
Coordinate initial onboarding, including agreements, documentation, product and pricing data, and catalog setup, before handing over to the Vendor Relationship Manager.
Collaborate with the sales team to understand buyer demand and align acquisition priorities accordingly.
Maintain an accurate vendor pipeline in the CRM and provide regular reports on acquisition progress, category coverage, and secured terms.
Monitor construction material market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new market entrants to ensure a proactive supplier base.
Represent iBuild at industry events, trade fairs, and exhibitions to expand the supplier network.

Candidate Profile and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vendor acquisition or a related commercial role, demonstrating a proven ability to identify, engage, and onboard strategic partners. This position requires 5-10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within the building materials, construction, or e-commerce sectors.
