About the Opportunity

The King Abdullah Humanitarian Foundation is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the Foundation's financial objectives. Candidates should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting.

Role Overview

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of journal entries and financial accounts, alongside reviewing daily and monthly financial transactions. A key aspect of this position involves documenting accounting records and contributing to the improvement of financial systems to ensure compliance with established standards. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve the institution’s financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting journal entries related to various accounts, including revenue deposits in bank accounts, other revenue accounts, and financial investment returns after reviewing and ensuring their accuracy.
• Manage and prepare all reconciliation accounts, specifically advance revenues and accrued revenues related to revenues.
• Review daily and periodic receipt lists to ensure their legitimacy and accuracy.
• Examine all accounting journal documents prepared by other accounting staff.
• Review monthly trial balances, confirming their accuracy and ensuring timely issuance.
• Archive provided and final guarantee letters received from contractors and consultants, and process release or confiscation letters for banks as per system requirements.
• Monitor the correct application of established accounting systems, ensuring appropriate implementation, and propose reasonable amendments to the accounting system for discussion with the direct supervisor.
• Maintain and document all files and records pertinent to accounting operations.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 5 years of professional experience in an accounting or financial specialist role.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the King Abdullah Humanitarian Foundation. The role involves working collaboratively within a financial team to uphold the Foundation's standards of financial integrity and operational efficiency.
