Halian is seeking to build an Appian Delivery Team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time team will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, integration, and quality assurance of Appian applications for a banking client. The roles within the team require professionals with 5-10 years of experience in their respective Appian specializations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities Overview

The Appian Delivery Team encompasses several specialized roles, each contributing to the robust implementation and support of Appian solutions. These roles include an Appian Technical Lead / Solution Architect, Senior Appian Developer – Process & Workflow, Appian Developer – UI & Data Fabric, Appian Integration Developer, and an Appian QA & Automation Engineer. Each role is critical for delivering scalable, secure, and efficient Appian applications that meet enterprise standards and regulatory obligations.

Appian Technical Leadership and Solution Architecture

• Own the end-to-end solution design and technical delivery of Appian applications.
• Act as the design authority for the Appian platform, ensuring solutions meet enterprise architecture, security, operational resilience, and regulatory standards.
• Translate business requirements into scalable Appian solution architectures, including process design, security models, integration patterns, and data structures.
• Define development standards, governance frameworks, reusable components, and coding best practices.
• Lead technical estimations, sprint planning, architecture reviews, and release planning activities.
• Own non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, and auditability.
• Conduct code reviews, health checks, and production readiness assessments.
• Mentor development teams and drive adoption of new Appian capabilities.

Appian Development and Integration Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex process models, case management workflows, and business rules.
• Implement enterprise-scale case management capabilities and configure decision tables and expression rules.
• Develop responsive Appian SAIL interfaces, portals, and reusable UI components, supporting bilingual Arabic and English user experiences.
• Design and configure Data Fabric record types, relationships, security models, and record actions.
• Develop Appian Connected Systems, Integration Objects, and Web APIs to connect with enterprise applications and third-party services.
• Design secure authentication and authorization models, including OAuth2, SAML, and API security controls.
• Implement resilient integration patterns and build batch processing solutions.
• Support implementation of Appian AI capabilities, including document extraction and intelligent automation features.

Quality Assurance and Automation

• Define and execute testing strategies covering functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and user acceptance testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for Appian applications.
• Build API and integration testing capabilities using modern automation tools.
• Embed testing processes within CI/CD pipelines and release management practices.
• Conduct load, performance, and stress testing for critical workflows.
• Validate role-based security, segregation of duties controls, and audit logging.
• Manage test data, test environments, and production-like datasets.
• Lead defect management activities and produce quality metrics and reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for these roles should possess 7-10 years of relevant experience in Appian development, architecture, integration, or quality assurance. Specific experience with Appian capabilities such as Data Fabric, Process HQ, AI Skills, and Appian RPA is beneficial. The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and align with enterprise standards is essential.
