Assistant Designer EXA Ceramics

About the Role

Alfanar is seeking an Assistant Designer for EXA Ceramics to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves assisting in the creation and development of artwork for new collections, with a focus on design elements, color combinations, and production alignment. The Assistant Designer will be responsible for modifying artwork based on feedback, managing tasks to meet production goals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior designers in preparing artwork for new collections, ensuring alignment with project vision.
• Design individual collections, focusing on color combinations and design elements that reflect brand identity and market trends.
• Develop digital designs, optimizing color profiles, textures, and patterns for production and manufacturing.
• Modify artwork based on feedback from the PDR team, laboratory, and customer needs, under design manager supervision.
• Execute tasks and targets set by the Design Manager to meet production goals, commercial requirements, and project deadlines.
• Submit weekly progress reports to the direct manager, detailing completed tasks, challenges, and overall progress.
• Collaborate with production, development, and other cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications.
• Research and analyze current design trends, customer preferences, and market demands to inform collection development.
• Ensure designs are completed within required timeframes and meet specified quality standards for approval and production.

• Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures within the defined work area.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant design role.
• Ability to assist in creating and developing artwork for new collections.
• Proficiency in design elements, color combinations, and production alignment.
• Experience in modifying artwork based on feedback.
• Capability to manage tasks to meet production goals.
• Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with trend research and ensuring timely, quality design completion.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the Alfanar team.
