About the Role

Buro Happold is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join its transportation team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves contributing to significant transportation projects across the Middle East, focusing on technical excellence and strategic planning. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile infrastructure projects within a company committed to sustainability and social equity.

Key Responsibilities

Lead transportation planning and infrastructure projects, ensuring both technical quality and commercial performance.
Provide strategic transport planning input, including master planning, traffic impact assessments, access strategies, and parking studies.
Develop and review transportation models and network analyses to support project delivery.
Engage with clients, government entities, and stakeholders to deliver practical and efficient transport solutions.
Oversee the preparation of high-quality technical reports, drawings, and presentations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in transport planning and traffic engineering.
A strong portfolio of projects, particularly within the Middle East region.
Proven experience with transport modelling and analysis tools such as GIS, VISSIM, VISUM, Synchro, or SIDRA.
Strong technical expertise in transport systems, traffic operations, and infrastructure planning.
Demonstrated leadership in delivering complex transport projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
