Associate Director

About the Role

GRG is expanding its financial crime and compliance consulting practice in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is seeking an Associate Director to contribute to the growth and scaling of the team. This is a full-time, senior, client-facing position that combines technical expertise in financial crime with business development responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the existing client portfolio from the start.
• Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities within 2-3 months.
• Convert the business pipeline into active projects within 6 months.
• Establish and manage a full client portfolio within 9 months.
• Oversee the entire business cycle, from sales and delivery to collections and repeat sales.
• Engage in business development activities, including cross-selling to the broader market.
• Support the expansion of the team and the wider practice.

Candidate Profile and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of relevant experience and a proven track record in the market. This role requires a professional with a consulting background and a techno-functional skill set, rather than a broad financial crime generalist.

• Simple and articulate communication skills.
• Techno-functional expertise in financial crime.
• Experience in business development, including cross-selling to the wider market.
• A background in consulting.
• Demonstrated ability to succeed in the Saudi Arabian market.
• Leadership potential.
• A career banking background is not a prerequisite.
