AWS Growth Executive Presales

About the Role

SoftwareOne is seeking an AWS Growth Executive Presales to drive AWS cloud adoption and business growth across the MEA region. This full-time role is based in Riyadh and involves translating complex business requirements into scalable AWS architectures while guiding customers through the full pre-sales lifecycle. The successful candidate will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers translate business needs into scalable AWS solutions.

Role Context and Focus

This position focuses on leading technical discovery, solution design, and proposal development throughout the sales cycle. A strong emphasis is placed on cloud economics and financial optimization, advising C-level stakeholders on ROI, cost savings, and long-term cloud strategy. The AWS Growth Executive will help customers maximize the value of their AWS investments and accelerate their cloud journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and qualify new AWS leads to ensure technical, commercial, and financial viability.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects to design robust, cost-effective AWS solutions across Infrastructure, Data & AI, and App Modernization.
• Lead discussions on cloud financial management, identifying opportunities for cost savings through rightsizing, architectural improvements, and leveraging AWS pricing models.
• Manage the end-to-end technical sales process, including RFPs, custom proposals, and contract negotiations.
• Deliver high-impact presentations and technical demos to C-level executives (CFO/CTO), emphasizing the economic value of cloud migration.
• Conduct AWS Well-Architected Reviews with a focus on the Cost Optimization pillar to ensure long-term customer success.
• Develop accurate service and cost models showing ROI, TCO, and business impact for local clients.

Qualifications and Requirements

• AWS Expertise: Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, WAF, EKS/ECS, and Data & AI solutions.
• Cloud FinOps: Hands-on experience with AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, Compute Optimizer, and Budgets.
• Cost Optimization: Proven ability to optimize cloud spend through Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Spot Instances, and storage tiering strategies.
• Market Knowledge: Understanding of the MEA cloud market and regional regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Experience: Proven track record in cloud pre-sales, strategic cloud consulting, or FinOps roles.
• Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect certification is required; FinOps Practitioner is a plus.
• Communication: Strong presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical and financial data into actionable business insights.
