The Role of Business Development Engineer Geophysics

TDS is seeking a Business Development Engineer Geophysics to serve as the primary client contact and drive new business opportunities for the geophysics department. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of experience. The role involves combining technical understanding with business development strategies to expand the company's reach in key sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify opportunities with mining companies, water utilities, government agencies, engineering contractors, and energy developers.
• Collaborate with geophysicists to understand client problems and recommend appropriate methods and survey designs.
• Prepare proposals, capability statements, and tender responses, coordinating technical and cost inputs.
• Present TDS solutions in meetings, conferences, and site visits, and follow up to close opportunities.
• Maintain the opportunity pipeline within the CRM system and report monthly on activity and results.
• Contribute to agreed annual targets for qualified pipeline and revenue generation.

Qualifications and Experience

• A technically grounded professional with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and qualify business opportunities.
• Strong understanding of geophysical methods and their applications.
• Experience in preparing proposals and tender responses.
