About the Opportunity

Panda Retail Company – Savola Group is seeking a dedicated Buyer, Fresh Food Produce Central to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position critical to supporting super store operations by ensuring optimal product selection and availability.

Role Overview

The Buyer manages product selection, purchasing, and stock availability to support Super Store operations. This role involves analyzing sales trends, negotiating with suppliers, and coordinating replenishment activities to ensure consistent product flow, cost efficiency, and quality. By working closely with store teams, supply chain, and commercial functions, the Buyer helps prevent shortages, improve product availability, and enhance overall sales performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze store demand trends and sales data to determine required product quantities, ensuring timely and accurate procurement decisions.
• Coordinate with suppliers to secure product availability and delivery schedules, maintaining consistent stock levels across stores.
• Negotiate purchasing terms, prices, and delivery conditions to optimize cost efficiency and support profitability targets.
• Evaluate supplier performance to identify improvement needs or risks, ensuring product quality and reliable supply.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenishment exceptions to address shortages or overstock situations, maintaining operational stability.
• Collaborate with store teams and the supply chain department to align procurement plans with operational requirements, supporting smooth store execution.
• Verify product specifications, packaging standards, and compliance requirements to ensure all purchased items meet company guidelines.
• Prepare purchasing reports and cost analyses to provide visibility on procurement performance and support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a buying or procurement role, with a strong preference for experience in fresh food produce.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data and market trends effectively.
• Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain coordination principles.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active collaboration with various internal departments and external suppliers within a fast-paced retail environment.
