The Role of Civil Engineer

Seder Group is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves contributing to various projects by applying civil engineering principles from design to construction oversight and project management. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Design and Planning Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed designs, blueprints, and specifications using CAD software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Perform complex calculations and conduct technical and feasibility studies to assess project viability.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, geological data, and environmental impact assessments to inform planning decisions.

Site Supervision and Project Management

• Supervise on-site construction progress to ensure adherence to design plans, safety codes, and quality controls.
• Oversee material and soil testing, such as concrete, asphalt, and soil bearing capacity, to verify structural integrity.
• Address and resolve technical or creative problems that arise on site.
• Estimate material, labor, and equipment costs to establish realistic project budgets and schedules.
• Manage resource allocation and monitor expenditures to keep projects within budget.
• Prepare tendering documents, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts.

Regulatory Compliance and Stakeholder Collaboration

• Secure required local, regional, or national building permits and government approvals.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and legal regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, site contractors, urban planners, surveyors, and subcontractors.
• Communicate project status, risk assessments, and progress updates to clients, executives, or public authorities.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this Civil Engineer position should possess 2 to 5 years of experience in civil engineering, demonstrating proficiency in the responsibilities outlined above.
