About the Role

Majid Al Futtaim is seeking a Commercial Manager Grocery for a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to developing and executing category strategies that drive sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction across all Grocery categories within the business.

Role Objectives and Scope

The Commercial Manager - Grocery is responsible for leading supplier partnerships, commercial negotiations, assortment planning, pricing, and promotional activities. The position focuses on managing category performance, ensuring product availability, and delivering sustainable business growth through strategic initiatives and data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Grocery categories to achieve sales, margin, market share, and growth targets.
• Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, joint business plans, and commercial agreements.
• Drive category performance through assortment optimization, strategic pricing, and promotional planning.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
• Analyze sales, profitability, stock levels, and category Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support informed decision-making.

Strategic Partnerships and Collaboration

This role involves identifying and developing strategic supplier partnerships, with a focus on ensuring product quality, compliance, and cost efficiency. It requires close collaboration with Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and Store teams to ensure product availability and the successful execution of commercial strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant professional experience in a commercial or category management role within the grocery sector.

Continuous Improvement Focus

The Commercial Manager is expected to lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction, optimizing category performance, and improving overall profitability within the Grocery division.
