Consultant Endocrinologist

About the Role

Saudi German Health is seeking a Consultant Endocrinologist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of experience. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive, high-quality medical care in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of endocrine disorders.

Job Purpose

The Consultant Endocrinologist is responsible for evaluating patients, developing tailored treatment plans, and monitoring outcomes. This role ensures adherence to clinical standards, patient safety requirements, and quality improvement initiatives within the endocrinology department.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Manage outpatient clinics and provide specialized endocrinology consultations.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and other appropriate medical interventions.
• Explain diagnoses, treatment options, and procedures to patients and their families.
• Coordinate care with other specialties and healthcare professionals when needed.
• Perform and supervise diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within granted clinical privileges.
• Participate in inpatient care, including patient admissions, rounds, and discharge planning.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation.
• Review and validate clinical documentation prepared by junior medical staff.
• Supervise and mentor physicians, residents, interns, and other healthcare team members.
• Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance activities.
• Attend emergency situations and on-call duties as assigned.
• Contribute to medical education, research, training programs, and community health awareness initiatives.
• Promote patient-centered care while maintaining compassion, dignity, and respect.
• Participate in departmental committees and support organizational objectives.
• Perform additional duties within the scope of professional knowledge, skills, and competencies.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Candidates must possess the necessary medical qualifications and licenses to practice as a Consultant Endocrinologist.
