About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee all contractual and commercial aspects of transportation, rail, and metro projects in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and involves managing contracts, ensuring compliance, handling claims, and supporting project delivery within budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer project contracts.
• Review, negotiate, and finalize contract terms with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and overall financial performance.
• Prepare and review claims, variations, and change orders.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide commercial advice and support to project teams.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, payments, and correspondence.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to resolve disputes.
• Prepare reports on commercial performance and contractual issues for senior management.
• Ensure timely invoicing, payment collection, and financial reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or a related field.
• Proven experience in contract management and commercial roles, specifically within road and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of standard forms of construction contracts such as FIDIC or NEC.
• Proficiency in contract administration, claims management, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong financial acumen and cost-control expertise.
• Ability to interpret legal documents and contractual obligations.
• Effective leadership and team management skills.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in railway infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts.
• Experience in claims and dispute management.
• Hands-on experience with FIDIC or railway standard contracts.
• Prior experience in Metro Rail, High-speed rail, or Freight rail O&M projects is highly desirable.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
