Role Overview

Accenture Middle East is seeking a COOP Security Managed Services New Associate to join its Cyber Defense practice in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is designed for individuals at the start of their career, providing exposure to real-world cybersecurity operations. The Cyber Defense practice is at the forefront of detecting, investigating, and responding to threats against clients' most critical assets, operating in live environments with active threats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including threat monitoring, alert triage, and incident escalation workflows.
  • Assist in threat intelligence gathering and analysis to identify emerging attack patterns and vulnerabilities.
  • Contribute to incident response activities, documenting, investigating, and tracking security events through to resolution.
  • Support vulnerability assessments and security testing across client environments.
  • Work within blended onshore and offshore defense teams, gaining exposure to 24/7 cyber defense operations at an enterprise scale.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Currently enrolled in the last year of a Bachelor's program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.
  • Foundational understanding of networking, threat landscapes, and security monitoring concepts.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to identify patterns and think critically under pressure.
  • Clear communication skills, comfortable documenting findings and collaborating across technical teams.

Preferred Experience and Interests

  • Hands-on exposure to SIEM tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence frameworks, including MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Coursework or self-study in ethical hacking, digital forensics, or incident response.
  • Interest in pursuing industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or Blue Team Level 1 (BTL1).
