About the Opportunity

Pearl Recruitment is seeking a Cost Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to the comprehensive cost analysis and tender preparation processes for various projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.

Role Overview

The Cost Engineer will be responsible for meticulously evaluating project costs, from initial tender document review through to final offer submission. This involves detailed calculations of materials, labor, and equipment, alongside strategic engagement with suppliers and subcontractors to secure optimal pricing. The role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy throughout the pricing cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Study tender documents, drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities prior to initiating the pricing process.
• Prepare pricing for work items in accordance with the scope of work, project requirements, and specifications.
• Calculate costs of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors with precision.
• Request, follow up on, and technically and financially compare price quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare comparison tables, analyze prices, and select the most suitable offers based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with project and study departments to gather necessary information for pricing.
• Review quantities and prices, ensuring data accuracy before finalizing offers.
• Prepare financial and technical offers in coordination with the specialized team for review and approval.
• Study potential risks and additional project costs, reporting observations to relevant management.
• Monitor market price updates for materials, services, and equipment to support pricing accuracy.
• Establish and maintain a database for prices, suppliers, and subcontractors for reference.
• Adhere to deadlines for submitting price offers and tenders.
• Organize and maintain files related to tenders, offers, correspondence, and relevant documents.
• Prepare reports and analyses related to offers and projects, providing support to the studies and pricing manager.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 2 to 5 years of experience in a cost engineering or similar role, demonstrating a proven track record in cost analysis and tender preparation within project environments.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
