The Role of Country Operations Manager

Beside Group is seeking a Country Operations Manager to oversee operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on optimizing profitability by maximizing sales, controlling costs, and leading operational teams within a specific country or region. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales performance across the region/country to achieve budget and KPI targets.
• Foster a customer-first culture and ensure excellent customer experience, aiming for market-leading NPS scores.
• Monitor market competition and provide insights for commercial decision-making.
• Control and manage all cost lines to maximize profitability.
• Provide product performance feedback to the Buying & Merchandising team.
• Oversee inventory management and store audits to minimize losses and maintain company standards.
• Ensure all stores comply with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and legal regulations.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team for effective market presence.
• Lead, motivate, and inspire teams, managing performance through PDPs and PIPs.
• Identify, develop, and retain high-potential talent for succession planning.
• Manage disciplinary and grievance matters in partnership with the People & Culture team.
• Work with Learning & Development to ensure appropriate training programs are delivered.
• Ensure full compliance with Visual Merchandising (VM) guidelines and collaborate with the VM team.
• Communicate business performance updates to leadership and store teams, conducting weekly performance reviews with Area Managers.
• Analyze business results and implement action plans to improve performance.
• Oversee new store openings and renovations, ensuring timely delivery and effective stakeholder management.
• Ensure prompt resolution of all store maintenance issues to maintain brand standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of fashion retail experience, including at least 3 years at Regional or Country Manager level in KSA.
• Proven experience managing 30+ store locations with Area Managers as direct reports.
• Minimum 3 years of full P&L responsibility for a region or country.
• Demonstrated experience in talent development, succession planning, and team growth.
• Experience managing multiple brands is highly advantageous.
• Regional/Middle East experience is preferred.
