The Role of Data Infrastructure Supervisor

Albawani is seeking a Data Infrastructure Supervisor to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves leading a technical team of data engineers, analysts, and external consultants. The primary objective of this role is to manage a robust data infrastructure utilizing Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, support enterprise machine learning and AI initiatives, enforce data governance, and deliver actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making across all group subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide team leadership by assigning daily work, tracking deliverables, offering technical mentorship, conducting performance reviews, and fostering skill development.
• Oversee ETL/ELT pipelines and data ingestion into Microsoft Fabric, ensuring data quality and security, optimizing pipeline performance, and managing workspaces.
• Manage Power BI workspaces and access controls, support the development of interactive dashboards, and assist subsidiaries with analytics best practices.
• Coordinate machine learning model deployments, integrate predictive outputs into operational workflows, and champion generative AI tools such as Copilot.
• Liaise with internal business units and external vendors, monitor cloud resource consumption and costs for backcharging, and drive efficiency improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications and practical experience will be prioritized.
• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric or Power BI deployments.
• Demonstrated experience supervising small teams or external consultants.

Required Skills and Certifications

• Proficiency in managing data infrastructure using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data security.
• Experience with machine learning integration and generative AI tools.
• A Microsoft Fabric or Power BI professional certification is highly desirable.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic and evolving data and analytics environment.
