DeepSource Technologies is seeking a Datacenter Engineer (Saudi National) to join our team in Riyadh, KSA. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are looking to specialize in datacenter operations and modernization, with a particular focus on runbook development and governance.

Role Summary

The Datacenter Engineer will function as a Runbook Subject Matter Expert (SME), responsible for the comprehensive management of complex task activities within datacenter environments. This includes the collection, creation, testing, and governance of detailed runbooks for critical operations such as Disaster Recovery (DR) activities, application migrations, and datacenter modernization initiatives. The role ensures that all runbooks contain essential environment details, contact information, and precise steps required to execute these complex tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data through interviews and other methods to inform runbook content.
• Create detailed runbooks for complex datacenter activities, including DR activation, dry tests, drills, application migrations, and datacenter modernization.
• Test runbooks rigorously to ensure accuracy, completeness, and operational effectiveness.
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks for runbooks, ensuring they are current and compliant.
• Document all environment details, contact information, and required activities within runbooks.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in datacenter environments or related technical roles.
• Familiarity with Data Center Migration Discovery Phase, Planning Phase, and Execution.
• Proficiency with automated discovery tools (*, Device 42, vRNI).
• Excellent skills in using advanced features of Microsoft Excel, including data modeling and analysis.
• Experience in conducting workshops and preparing migration strategies, migration plans, runbooks, and status reports.

Desirable Skills and Attributes

• Experience in delivering engagements under PRINCE2, PMP, or TOGAF frameworks.
• Experience in presenting at a user group, trade show, or similar events.
