About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Deputy Engineer (Civil) for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role involves leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams on significant rail projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers and inspectors across civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines.
• Monitor and coordinate contractor activities within assigned rail project areas to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
• Develop discipline-specific construction schedules and track progress against project milestones.
• Provide schedule updates, progress assessments, and reports to the Construction Manager.
• Monitor material procurement, delivery, and availability to maintain construction schedules.
• Verify that delivered materials comply with project specifications, quality requirements, and industry standards.
• Provide first-level quality assurance oversight for all installation works, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Supervise construction engineering activities and offer technical expertise across one or more construction disciplines.
• Ensure inspections and testing activities are conducted, witnessed, documented, and completed according to approved procedures.
• Collaborate with construction management teams to identify and mitigate safety, environmental, and operational risks.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with site-specific safety requirements and industry standards.
• Coordinate with design engineering teams to support construction activities and resolve technical issues.
• Review and interpret design drawings and specifications to ensure work execution aligns with the latest approved revisions.
• Provide technical solutions for engineering and construction challenges and coordinate their implementation with project stakeholders.
• Maintain project records, progress reports, back-charge documentation, and other required project controls documentation.
• Coordinate and organize project documentation for final handover and project closeout activities.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and senior management to support successful project execution.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience on major civil or infrastructure projects.
• Experience on rail, metro, transit, or related transportation projects is required.
• Proven experience leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
• Experience with construction materials testing and quality assurance, including soil, concrete, grout, dewatering, and load testing activities.
• Strong understanding of construction planning, material delivery, staging, scheduling, and site coordination.
• Knowledge of construction quality, safety, and compliance requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Previous GCC project experience is advantageous.
• Experience delivering fit-out, station, depot, or transportation infrastructure projects.
• A strong understanding of multidisciplinary construction interfaces within complex project environments.
