About Golf Saudi and the Role

Golf Saudi is seeking a Development Planning & Control Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to ensuring the effective planning, scheduling, and cost control of development projects, aligning with the organization's strategic objectives and governance standards.

Role Purpose

The Development Planning & Control Manager will oversee all development planning and control activities. This includes managing project plans, schedules, cost controls, reporting mechanisms, and coordination outputs to ensure accuracy and adherence to development requirements, project objectives, and Golf Saudi's governance standards.

Key Responsibilities: Planning and Cost Control

• Manage day-to-day development planning and project control activities, ensuring alignment with approved plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules, cost plans, control trackers, and progress reports to support effective decision-making.
• Coordinate budget development inputs and monitor project cost performance against approved baselines.
• Conduct cost analysis, variance analysis, and progress monitoring to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the preparation of accurate cost estimates, forecasts, and planning assumptions for development projects.
• Monitor and control project expenses in coordination with internal teams, consultants, and relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional planning activities to ensure cost, schedule, scope, and delivery requirements are aligned.
• Manage project planning and scheduling activities to ensure alignment with cost management objectives and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities: Reporting and Process Improvement

• Support the implementation of initiatives that improve project delivery, planning accuracy, and cost control effectiveness.
• Identify and escalate risks affecting project delivery, cost, schedule, and control performance.
• Prepare periodic cost, planning, and project control reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and relevance.
• Communicate project planning and control updates to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development planning, cost management, and project control processes.

Team Leadership and Development

• Supervise and guide team members involved in cost planning, scheduling, reporting, and project control activities.
• Support the development of team capabilities in cost estimation, analysis, planning, and scheduling practices.
• Provide input on team performance, workload allocation, and capability development needs.
• Coordinate training and knowledge-sharing activities to enhance planning and project control practices.
• Allocate tasks within the team to optimize productivity and support project requirements.
• Address day-to-day team challenges and escalate issues where required to maintain smooth delivery.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in development planning, project control, or a related field.
