About Qiddiya and the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company | القدية is a leader in Saudi Arabia's entertainment and cultural development sector. We are seeking a Director, Group Accounting to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time executive role is central to overseeing the group accounting function and shaping the company's financial reporting framework and accounting policies.

Role Overview and Strategic Impact

As Director of Group Accounting, you will lead the consolidation of financial statements across the group and ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards. This position involves providing insightful financial analyses to support strategic decision-making and enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of the financial reporting process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the group accounting team to prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective coordination with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and compliance reviews.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations, assessing their impact and driving necessary changes within the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the group accounting function to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Mentor and develop accounting professionals within the group, fostering a high-performance culture.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in group accounting, with significant leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, financial consolidation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage complex financial reporting in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
