Estimation Manager

About the Role

Albawani | البواني is seeking an Estimation Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading and managing estimation, tendering, variation pricing, and value engineering activities specifically for D01C contracts. The Estimation Manager will ensure the preparation of accurate cost estimates, competitive bid submissions, effective commercial evaluations, and successful tendering strategies, aligning with contractual requirements and company objectives to drive profitability and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and submission of technical and commercial tenders.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Develop tendering strategies and pricing methodologies.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and commercial teams during bid preparation.
• Evaluate project risks and opportunities during tender stages and ensure timely submission of proposals.
• Prepare and review detailed cost estimates and pricing models, conducting quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
• Review supplier and subcontractor quotations, establish project budgets, and maintain historical cost databases.
• Manage variations by reviewing, evaluating, and pricing project variations and change orders, assessing commercial impact, and participating in negotiations.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization, developing alternative technical and commercial solutions.
• Lead and mentor estimation and tendering team members, reviewing and approving their estimates.
• Improve estimation procedures, templates, and methodologies, supporting knowledge sharing initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline. Professional certifications such as PMP, CCP, or MRICS are preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 13–15 years of experience in estimation, tendering, and commercial functions within construction projects, with over 10 years of overall experience.
• Contract Expertise: Proven experience managing D01C contracts.
• Technical Skills: Strong experience in tender preparation, bid management, cost estimation, and pricing variations, change orders, and claims.
• Leadership: Experience leading estimation teams and coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of value engineering practices, construction methodologies, project costs, and commercial management.
