About Qiddiya and the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an Executive Director - Development to join its team in Riyadh. This is a full-time leadership position focused on the development of world-class theme park experiences. The role is central to realizing Qiddiya's vision and contributing to its overall strategic goals.

Role Overview and Impact

The Executive Director Development will oversee the complete project lifecycle for theme park developments, from initial concept through design, construction, and successful launch. This position requires significant experience in theme park development, ensuring that all projects adhere to high standards of innovation, quality, safety, and guest experience. The role involves close collaboration with various multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for the successful delivery of theme park projects, aligning with Qiddiya's vision and goals.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams through the planning, design, construction, and commissioning phases of theme park developments.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within financial parameters.
  • Collaborate with master planners, architects, engineers, and creative teams to develop innovative and immersive theme park concepts.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices throughout all development phases.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including government entities, partners, and community representatives, to foster collaboration and support.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts in project delivery methodologies, sustainability practices, and guest experience standards.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership regarding project status, identified risks, and proposed mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing teams, cultivating a culture of excellence and innovation within the department.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in development, with a significant focus on theme parks.
  • Proven leadership experience in overseeing large-scale development projects from concept to launch.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams effectively.

Collaboration and Standards Adherence

This role demands a collaborative approach, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure project success. A core aspect of the position is maintaining the highest standards across all development stages, encompassing innovation, quality control, safety protocols, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. The Executive Director will be instrumental in fostering strong relationships with all involved parties to achieve project objectives.
