The Role: Food Beverage Controller

Andalus Gate Holding is seeking a dedicated Food Beverage Controller to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to ensuring the efficient and accurate management of all food and beverage stock, from procurement to consumption. The Controller will be responsible for maintaining rigorous inventory control, upholding FSM standards, and managing vendor relationships to support the company's operational and financial objectives. We are looking for a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all storage locations, both within the outlet and external warehouses, ensuring the safekeeping of ingredients and adherence to FSM standards.
  • Monitor stock movement comprehensively, applying correct FSM standards at all times.
  • Prepare Purchase Orders for local suppliers, ensuring continuous stock availability and compliance with established PAR levels for the outlet and/or warehouse.
  • Communicate orders to vendors and diligently follow up on delivery dates and times.
  • Supervise receiving processes, verifying that delivered items precisely match the Purchase Order and Invoice in terms of quantity, brand, specifications, shelf life, and price.
  • Report any issues related to stock availability, deliveries, or pricing, ensuring relevant departments or personnel are promptly notified for action and proper follow-up.
  • Ensure outlet storerooms are organized, clean, properly zoned, follow the FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) principle, and are stocked according to PAR level standards.
  • Actively participate in establishing, maintaining, and updating PAR levels based on consumption patterns, product movement (fast/slow), and storage area criteria.
  • Oversee store-to-store transfers, including initiating systematic outgoing movement, coordinating logistics, supervising physical picking/packing, monitoring dispatch, and documenting handover, updating transfer status as required.
  • Implement incoming transfers by physically verifying received quantities, shelf life, and specifications, then systematically processing stock updates.
  • Process Wastage entries in the system daily and accurately, generating Wastage statistics and highlighting non-compliances.
  • Process Prep entries in the system daily and accurately, generating Prep statistics and highlighting non-compliances.
  • Oversee Warehouse Stock Movement files, ensuring systematic stock updates and utilization of alternate tools such as Excel.
  • Conduct spot visits and counts to the Warehouse, ensuring safe and zoned storage, and sharing variance reports and maintenance summaries.
  • Supervise Mass Stock receiving, confirming received quantities match ordered/invoiced amounts, and reporting damages or variances for corrective action.
  • Maintain constant direct contact with vendors through general communication channels (emails, groups, etc.), proactively seeking to improve stock status by requesting quotations, challenging price increases, and addressing brand, specification, or Unit of Measure (UOM) variances.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food and beverage inventory management and control. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, robust organizational skills, and the ability to maintain objective business relationships with vendors. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving stock-related issues is essential.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar Food & Beverage Controller or Stock Controller role is required.
