Role Overview

YO IT Consulting is seeking a Golang Open Source Contributor to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience who are prepared to make significant technical contributions to open-source projects relevant to customer initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

• Contribute production-quality code, conduct thorough reviews, and develop comprehensive documentation for open-source repositories aligned with customer projects.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, bugs, and performance bottlenecks within existing codebases.
• Participate actively in code discussions and provide constructive feedback to enhance overall code quality.

Technical Development and Optimization

• Design, implement, and optimize complex algorithms and system components.
• Utilize one or more of the following programming languages: C++, Python, JAVA, GoLang, Typescript, or Rust for development tasks.

Collaboration and Documentation

• Collaborate effectively with other contributors and stakeholders to ensure deliverables align with project goals and best practices.
• Create, maintain, and enhance technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding processes.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess 0-1 years of relevant experience and demonstrate a strong foundation in software development principles. Preferred qualifications include:

• Previous experience working on large-scale, distributed codebases.
• A background in participating in rigorous code reviews and contributing to the development of software best practices.
• Familiarity with modern AI or machine learning systems is considered a plus, though not a strict requirement.
