The Role: Graduate Structural Engineer

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This is a full-time position designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience. The successful candidate will support the Structural Engineering team, contributing to a large portfolio of building structures projects across the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering codes and principles, under the supervision of a Project Manager.
• Assist with the preliminary selection and adaptation of engineering possibilities.
• Attend design co-ordination meetings and prepare minutes on a weekly basis.
• Provide input for monthly progress reports on projects.
• Assist in the management of change control processes.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
• Provide assistance to the Project Manager as necessary, including support for correspondence and meetings.

• Demonstrates an innovative, creative, and courageous approach to problem-solving, with a hands-on methodology.
• Proactively takes ownership of their career, showing initiative and responsibility in work-related matters.
• Exhibits flexibility by adapting to different work styles and behaviours.

Professional Development and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong drive to become a Chartered Engineer or achieve membership of another professional engineering institute, and ideally be actively working towards chartered status. This role is suitable for recent graduates with 0-1 years of relevant experience.
