About the Guest Experience Expert Role

Marriott International is seeking a Guest Experience Expert for Courtyard by Marriott in Riyadh. This full-time role is dedicated to providing an exceptional guest experience within a dynamic hotel environment.

Role Overview

The Guest Experience Expert is responsible for managing all aspects of guest check-in and check-out processes. This includes verifying guest identity, handling forms of payment, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys. The role requires meticulous attention to detail in account setup and billing, alongside a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Process guest check-ins, verify identity, and manage payment procedures.
• Assign rooms and activate/issue room keys accurately.
• Set up and maintain accurate guest accounts according to specific requirements, including Marriott Rewards information.
• Ensure rates align with market codes and document any exceptions.
• Secure payment before issuing room keys and verify/adjust billing as needed.
• Compile and review daily reports, logs, and contingency lists; complete cashier and closing reports.
• Provide guests with directions and property information.
• Accommodate guest requests, contact appropriate staff for assistance, and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Process all payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, and charges; balance and drop receipts.
• Count and secure the bank at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Obtain manual authorizations and adhere to all Accounting procedures.
• Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft.
• Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model and initial contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Follow company policies and procedures, report accidents/injuries/unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate using clear, professional language, prepare accurate written documents, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and utilize computers/POS systems for information entry and retrieval.
• Perform physical duties including standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None specified.
