About the Role

Cactus is an emerging fintech company focused on integrating spending and investing to redefine personal finance management. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Head of Asset Management & CEO. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring a minimum of 10 years of experience.

Leadership and Strategic Direction

The Head of Asset Management & CEO will lead the company's overall direction and vision, ensuring alignment with the established strategic roadmap. This role involves translating strategy into clear, measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all departments and tracking execution to ensure timely delivery of key initiatives. The leader will drive critical decisions and manage teams to achieve optimal outcomes for stakeholders, contributing directly to the organization's vision and growth.

Investment Strategy and Oversight

In collaboration with the investment committee, this role will co-develop and lead the investment strategy. Key responsibilities include defining asset allocation, risk limits, and portfolio frameworks, as well as overseeing portfolio performance to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. The position requires conducting market analysis and risk assessments to inform decisions, and continuously monitoring performance against benchmarks and established risk thresholds.

Operational and Commercial Management

This role requires aligning product and technology teams with business and investment objectives, ensuring execution follows clear milestones and measurable outcomes. It also involves removing operational bottlenecks and driving cross-functional efficiency. Furthermore, the position will drive the company's commercial strategy, focusing on revenue generation and growth initiatives, identifying strategic partnerships, and exploring new markets, products, and revenue streams to scale the business.

Compliance, Governance, and Reporting

Ensuring full compliance with CMA regulations and internal policies is a critical aspect of this role. This includes establishing measurable, trackable, and well-documented processes, and maintaining strong governance and risk management practices. The position also entails delivering KPI-driven updates to investors, partners, and stakeholders, clearly communicating company performance, milestones, and strategy, and acting as the primary external representative of the company.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 6+ years in investment management and 5+ years in asset management. Experience within CMA-regulated firms is required, along with strong expertise in investment management, portfolio construction, and risk management. Proven leadership experience in financial services or asset management is essential. A deep understanding of Saudi regulatory and compliance frameworks, the ability to translate strategy into measurable KPIs, and strong communication skills are necessary. A data-driven decision-making mindset, cross-functional collaboration abilities, and strong commercial acumen are also key requirements. Experience in business development, scaling financial products, and identifying monetization strategies is expected.
