About the Role

Intelligent Solutions HR is seeking a Health Actuarial Manager specializing in Analytics & Pricing for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role supports a leading insurance organization and focuses on driving pricing excellence, portfolio profitability, and data-led decision-making within Corporate and SME health insurance.

The Health Actuarial Manager will be a commercially minded professional, responsible for translating complex health insurance data into clear pricing, underwriting, and profitability insights. The role involves close collaboration with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Network, and other key functions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead pricing and portfolio analytics across Corporate and SME health portfolios.
Develop and enhance pricing models for new business, renewals, and experience-rated portfolios.
Analyze profitability, loss ratios, claims trends, medical inflation, utilization, and portfolio performance.
Identify pricing gaps, emerging risks, and opportunities to improve portfolio profitability.
Analyze claims and provider data to identify key cost drivers, unusual utilization, and potential leakage.
Support cost-containment initiatives, provider performance analysis, and network optimization.
Provide actionable insights to strengthen underwriting and claims decisions.
Develop dashboards, management reports, and early-warning indicators for portfolio and pricing performance.
Translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for senior management.
Ensure pricing, portfolio, and performance data is accurate, structured, and fit for purpose.
Partner with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Network, IT, and Distribution teams on pricing and profitability initiatives.
Support product and benefit development through data-driven analysis.
Work with actuarial teams on pricing adequacy, claims development, and business planning.
Drive automation and continuous improvement across pricing and analytics processes.

Experience and Qualifications

7+ years of relevant experience in health insurance pricing, actuarial analytics, portfolio analytics, underwriting analytics, or claims analytics.
Strong experience in Corporate and/or SME health insurance pricing.
UAE or GCC health insurance experience is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of claims behavior, medical inflation, utilization, provider costs, benefit design, and renewal pricing.
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Actuarial qualification in progress (*, SOA, IFoA, or equivalent) is preferred.

Technical Skills

Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA, and modeling.
Strong SQL skills for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
Working knowledge of Python or R for statistical analysis and automation.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
Knowledge of pricing techniques such as regression, GLM, credibility, trend analysis, and frequency/severity analysis.
