Health Safety Environment Engineer

About the Role

Radian Engineering Consulting Company is seeking a Health Safety Environment Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves implementing and monitoring occupational health, safety, and environmental systems, along with site security procedures, to minimize accidents and hazards and ensure a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and supervise the implementation of security and safety plans in accordance with Civil Defense requirements.
• Implement and monitor compliance with the project's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Plan.
• Conduct regular field inspection tours, identify violations, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Perform Risk Assessments and review safe Method Statements before commencing work.
• Issue and monitor work permits (*, work at heights, excavations).
• Ensure the availability and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and the safety of equipment, lifts, and scaffolding.
• Conduct awareness and training programs for workers and organize daily safety meetings (Toolbox Talks).
• Investigate accidents and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures.
• Monitor emergency and evacuation plans, first aid requirements, and Civil Defense mandates.
• Oversee site security procedures.
• Prepare daily and monthly safety reports and accident statistics, submitting them to the Project Manager.
• Monitor compliance with environmental protection requirements and waste management procedures on site.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Project Manager within the scope of the specialization.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Occupational Safety and Health Engineering) from an accredited university.
• Valid membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Certified in Occupational Safety and Health (*, NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of labor laws, Civil Defense requirements, and safety standards in construction sites.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical report preparation.
• Fluency in Arabic and good knowledge of technical English.
• Communication and awareness skills, with the ability to conduct field follow-ups and work under tight deadlines.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with 5-10 years preferred.
