Role Overview

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for The Ritz Carlton Residences Diriyah Signature Collection. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Ad Dir'iyah, Saudi Arabia, and involves overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure quality standards are consistently met across guest rooms, public areas, and the pool. The supervisor will manage daily activities, coordinate with various departments, and support management in operational and HR functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and pool areas to ensure adherence to quality standards after cleaning.
• Manage daily housekeeping tasks, including running sold room reports, verifying room status, prioritizing cleaning, and updating departing guest room status.
• Prepare and distribute room assignments to housekeeping staff.
• Respond promptly to requests from guests, the Front Desk, or At Your Service.
• Document and report outstanding issues to management or supervisors upon shift completion.
• Complete all required housekeeping paperwork, including reports, worksheets, activity logs, and checklists.
• Report any missing hotel property or damages observed in rooms.

Operational Excellence and Compliance

• Select appropriate cleaning chemicals and necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to OSHA regulations and corporate standards.
• Report work-related accidents or injuries immediately to management.
• Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions, or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
• Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals.
• Adhere to all company and department safety, security, and operational policies and procedures.
• Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional, and compliant with company policies.
• Monitor the performance of others to ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Guest and Team Engagement

• Address guests' service needs professionally, positively, and in a timely manner.
• Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using their name when possible.
• Provide assistance to individuals with disabilities as per guidelines.
• Serve as a departmental role model or mentor, working alongside employees to perform job duties.
• Encourage and motivate employees, ensuring they have necessary resources and training.
• Coordinate tasks and work with other departments to ensure efficient operations.
• Support all coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect, handling sensitive issues with tact and confidentiality.

Qualifications and Physical Demands

• Education: High school diploma/*** equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Physical Abilities: Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance, and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over various surfaces.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capacity to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
