HPC AI Architect

About the Role

Hays is seeking an experienced HPC AI Architect to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract role involves leading the design and architecture of large-scale High Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing comprehensive compute, GPU, storage, networking, and platform architectures that support advanced AI, machine learning, and high-performance workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end HPC and AI infrastructure architectures, including compute, GPU, CPU, storage, and management platforms.
• Define HPC storage architectures utilizing parallel file systems, scale-out NAS/NFS, and high-performance storage technologies.
• Perform infrastructure sizing and capacity planning based on workload requirements, performance objectives, and future growth.
• Design high-speed compute fabrics and interconnect architectures supporting distributed AI and HPC workloads.
• Evaluate architecture options and provide recommendations balancing performance, scalability, availability, and cost.
• Review and validate technical designs, vendor proposals, Bills of Material (BOMs), and solution architectures.
• Collaborate with data center, network, cloud, infrastructure, AI, and operations teams to ensure architectural alignment.
• Produce architecture documentation, sizing models, design standards, and technical specifications.
• Support technology selection and vendor engagement activities for AI and HPC platforms.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess over 10 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating a strong background in HPC and AI infrastructure architecture.
