The Role of HR Specialist - Government Relations

ABB is seeking an HR Specialist - GR to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position reports to the Regional HRBP ELSB/SP M&S ME and the Country HR Manager. The role involves managing Government Relations (GR) transactions and activities within ABB - Saudi Arabia, including support for complex and escalating assignments. The specialist ensures operational compliance with local legal and regulatory frameworks and coordinates effectively between HR Operations and relevant government entities. We are looking for a candidate with 2-5 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle HR-related administrative transactions, ensuring alignment with government systems and internal records.
• Support the maintenance and renewal of official documentation across ABB business entities.
• Liaise with government platforms to ensure continuous operational compliance and prevent regulatory disruptions.
• Process end-to-end operations, delivering high-quality results and adhering to global performance standards.
• Support cross-collaboration within HR Services operations and other HR functions to optimize processes and tools.
• Execute assigned HR Services and certain legal responsibilities.
• Maintain relationships with employee representatives, authorities, and government bodies.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, HR policies, and compliance standards within the area of responsibility.
• Partner with business and HR to identify issues that can be supported and recommend new practices, processes, or policies for improvement.
