Information Technology Engineer

About the Role

Taj Dhabi is seeking an Information Technology Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for providing technical support and maintaining IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and end-user devices primarily at construction project sites. The IT Engineer ensures the availability, reliability, and security of IT services to support daily project operations, business continuity, and employee productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level IT support to project staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, operating systems, laptops, desktops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, operating systems, business applications, and IT peripherals.
• Monitor and maintain site network infrastructure, including LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, switches, routers, and network cabling.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, user accounts, and access permissions.
• Coordinate with Head Office IT for user onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, access rights, and IT service requests.
• Diagnose and resolve IT incidents promptly to minimize disruption to project operations.
• Manage IT support tickets, prioritize requests, and maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions.
• Maintain IT asset inventories, equipment allocation records, warranty information, and hardware maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with internet service providers, hardware suppliers, software vendors, and service contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of site technology systems, including network equipment, wireless access points, CCTV, and access control.
• Implement and maintain IT security measures, including antivirus protection, endpoint security, access controls, and software updates.
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies, information security requirements, and data protection procedures.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, system updates, and troubleshooting.
• Support IT equipment procurement by providing technical specifications and coordinating installation.
• Prepare IT status reports, asset reports, incident summaries, and other operational documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to employees on IT systems and cybersecurity awareness.
• Coordinate IT requirements for new project offices, site mobilization, and demobilization.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery procedures in coordination with the Head Office IT team.
• Perform site visits and provide on-site technical support as required.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the IT Manager or IT Head.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in an IT support or engineering role.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and corporate IT systems.
• Knowledge of IT security measures and data protection procedures.

Work Environment

This role is primarily based at construction project sites within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with support and coordination from the Head Office IT Department. The position involves close collaboration with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and various project personnel, as well as regular interaction with internet service providers and external technology vendors. The environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and deadline-driven, supporting construction site operations and business continuity. Travel between project locations and on-site attendance outside routine hours may be required to address critical IT incidents or operational needs.
