The Role: Inspector Landscape Architecture

As an Inspector Landscape Architecture, you will be responsible for implementing quality management systems and overseeing site supervision activities related to landscape works. This full-time position in Riyadh focuses on ensuring that all installations meet stringent quality standards, contract specifications, relevant international standards, and local authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement all aspects of quality management systems and site supervision for landscape works across the project.
  • Perform inspections to ensure quality installations comply with contract documents, international standards, and local authority requirements.
  • Conduct regular (daily) site visits to supervise and verify the installation of civil and architectural works, ensuring adherence to contract documents.
  • Inspect, sample, and test materials to assure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Identify non-conforming work or materials, notify the contractor, maintain records, and follow up on corrective and preventive measures.
  • Raise non-conformance notices (NCNs) and site inspection notices (SINs), identifying quality deficiencies in conjunction with the Resident Engineer (RE).
  • Review proposed corrective actions by the contractor, respond, follow up, and manage the close-out procedure.
  • Inspect on-site and off-site materials, and organize field and laboratory tests (conducted by others) to ascertain compliance and acceptability.
  • Identify potential safety concerns and report them to the site SHSEE/RE and the contractor.
  • Carry out final inspections for certification of final completion and handing over of the works.

Documentation and Coordination

  • Maintain complete records concerning the execution of works, including monitoring and follow-up as necessary.
  • Assist in reviewing and forwarding comments on contractor's method statements for work execution and installation.
  • Assist in reviewing and forwarding comments on contractor's technical submittals and technical queries.
  • Attend site technical coordination meetings to discuss contractor submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, and construction-related matters.
  • Review site progress and assist in the review of contractor's interim payment applications.
  • Liaise with the RE for the effective implementation of quality management systems and site supervision activities.
  • Review all construction documents and highlight any design and contractual discrepancies with the concerned RE.
  • Ensure that all statutory authority NOCs, permits, and design approvals are available on site for construction.
  • Monitor the progress of work against the approved contractor program.
  • Verify the accuracy of and approve contractor's "As-Built" drawings.
  • Assist in the review and approval of contractor's operations & maintenance manuals.
  • Liaise with Statutory Authorities and follow up on all final inspections and approvals as required.
  • Extend maximum effort to avoid contractor claims for cost and/or delay.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in landscape architecture inspection and site supervision.
