About Gulf Payments Company

The Gulf Payments Company is seeking an IT Governance Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to maintaining robust IT governance practices across the organization.

Role Overview

The IT Governance Specialist will support the development, implementation, and oversight of the IT strategy, governance model, policies, and procedures. This role involves ensuring compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, while acting as a key liaison between business operations and IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, and updating of the IT strategy.
  • Assist in managing the development, implementation, and updating of the IT governance model, policies, and procedures, overseeing their enforcement and compliance across GPC.
  • Act as a liaison between business operations and IT, ensuring data-related requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and understood.
  • Support risk and audit assessment processes, contributing to the identification and mitigation of IT-related risks and audit findings and observations.
  • Prepare and present reports on IT governance metrics and compliance status to management and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of IT governance practices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Oversee ITSM governance by ensuring process compliance and maturity improvements on related processes such as CMDB, service catalog data, Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management.

Required Experience

Candidates for this full-time position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in IT governance, compliance, or a related field. This experience should demonstrate a solid understanding of IT strategy, policy development, and risk management within an organizational context.

Frameworks and Compliance

A key aspect of this role involves ensuring alignment with applicable frameworks such as ISO 20000, ISO 27001, COBIT, and ITIL. The specialist will be responsible for upholding compliance with these standards and internal controls to maintain robust IT operations.
