Junior Quality Engineer

About the Role

TAWANTECH is seeking a Junior Quality Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, including fresh graduates, who are eager to contribute to software quality assurance activities. The primary purpose of this position is to support testing efforts, identify defects, and ensure that developed solutions meet all documented functional and quality requirements.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The Junior Quality Engineer will play a key role in validating software quality by executing defined testing activities. This involves ensuring that all developed solutions align with specified functional and quality standards. The position offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic environment, contributing directly to the reliability and performance of software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute functional, regression, integration, and user-interface testing within the squad.
• Prepare and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and comprehensive testing documentation.
• Test web and mobile applications across various browsers, iOS and Android devices, and different OS versions.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to their resolution.
• Validate fixes and perform regression testing following system changes.
• Support testing across various environments and release cycles.
• Prepare test data and maintain testing evidence for audit and change governance.
• Test payment flows end-to-end, including transaction and reconciliation scenarios.
• Contribute to automated test suites under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Coordinate with developers to clarify defects and expected system behavior.
• Follow established QA standards, processes, and testing methodologies.
• Report testing progress, identified defects, and quality observations to the squad.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Understanding of software testing fundamentals and the defect lifecycle.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working collaboratively within a squad, coordinating with developers, and adhering to established QA standards.
