Role Overview

The Key Account Manager – Government Sector is responsible for driving growth and strengthening Bausch + Lomb’s presence within government healthcare institutions across Saudi Arabia. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, focuses on developing strategic partnerships with government stakeholders, ensuring access to the company’s product portfolio, and executing account strategies aligned with customer needs and organizational objectives. The Key Account Manager will expand access within Ministry of Health institutions, NUPCO procurement channels, military hospitals, university hospitals, and other public healthcare organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute strategic account plans for priority government institutions, identify key stakeholders, and establish long-term partnerships.
  • Government Market Access & Tender Management: Lead institutional access activities, identify and manage NUPCO tender opportunities, support tender participation through internal coordination, monitor procurement cycles, and assist in tender submission preparation.
  • Business Growth & Commercial Execution: Achieve assigned sales targets and account objectives, identify opportunities for product utilization expansion, and support product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, align field activities with marketing initiatives, and provide market insights for strategic planning.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and institutional decision-makers, support scientific engagement, and facilitate disease awareness activities.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and institutional procurement changes, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Maintain CRM systems (Salesforce), track account performance against KPIs, implement corrective actions, and provide regular business updates and forecasts.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Saudi National.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (advanced medical/scientific credentials are a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales in Saudi Arabia.
  • At least 2 years of experience in institutional or key account management.
  • Preferably experience in ophthalmology/pharma.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within the government sector, requiring interaction with various healthcare institutions and stakeholders.
