The Role of Kubernetes Engineer

Exequt is seeking a full-time Kubernetes Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This role involves designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters across both production and non-production environments. The primary objective is to ensure high availability, security, and scalability for containerized workloads within our client projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters.
Manage Kubernetes resources, including Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, Namespaces, and Persistent Volumes.
Implement container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker/container runtimes.
Monitor cluster health, performance, availability, and resource utilization.
Configure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), network policies, security controls, and secrets management.
Manage cluster upgrades, patching, scaling, backup, and disaster recovery procedures.
Troubleshoot application, networking, storage, and cluster-level issues.
Implement High Availability (HA) and scalability solutions for Kubernetes workloads.
Integrate Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and DevOps tools.
Automate infrastructure and deployments using tools such as Helm, Terraform, or Ansible.
Work with cloud Kubernetes platforms including OpenShift, AKS, EKS, or GKE where applicable.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2-5 years of experience as a hands-on Kubernetes specialist. A strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and operations is required, along with practical experience in container orchestration and management. Familiarity with automation tools and cloud-specific Kubernetes services is essential for success in this role.
