About the Role

Intive is seeking a Red Hat OpenShift Platform Consultant to provide expert advisory and hands-on technical support for the optimization and operational governance of the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. This role focuses on Day-2 operational activities, ensuring platform stability, performance, and enterprise-grade reliability. The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field, serving as both a strategic advisor and a technical expert to customer stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align OpenShift capabilities with business objectives and develop a platform evolution roadmap.
• Propose and implement enhancements to improve developer productivity and overall platform reliability.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and deliver workshops or training sessions for development and operations teams.
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical incidents, coordinating closely with Red Hat support for complex issue resolution.
• Provide Level 3 support and build proactive monitoring capabilities within the OpenShift environment.
• Support configuration and change management activities, including the analysis of implementation plans to prevent outages.

Container Platform Management

• Manage patching and updates for operating systems and OpenShift components.
• Perform cluster capacity analysis, monitor certificate expirations, access Prometheus metrics, and analyze pod logs.
• Handle node management, including adding, deleting, and draining nodes.
• Oversee project and pod management, including Pod Disruption Budgets (PDB) and Critical Pods.
• Manage networking configurations such as static IPs, host ports, and throughput troubleshooting.
• Administer resource quotas, pod scheduling policies, affinity/anti-affinity rules, and eviction policies.
• Manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Security Context Constraints (SCC), and image management (policies, signing, promotion, pruning).
• Implement and oversee backup/restore procedures, certificate redeployment, and garbage collection configuration.

Desired Outcomes

Success in this role is defined by the establishment of a stable and optimized platform with minimal downtime. It involves proactive incident resolution, robust monitoring capabilities, and strong security governance. The consultant will contribute to enhanced developer productivity and ensure comprehensive knowledge transfer to customer teams.

Contract Details and Location

This is a 6-month onsite contract position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a 100% onsite presence in Riyadh for the fixed 6-month duration, with no option for extension. Immediate joiners are preferred for this engagement.
