وصف الوظيفة
About Noon Academy
Noon Academy is a leading edtech platform in the Middle East, serving over 12 million students and teachers. The company's mission is to transform the physical classroom experience through engaging social, group-based learning and AI, aiming to make learning effective and enjoyable. Noon Academy focuses on providing access to top educators by blending AI, peer-to-peer learning, and carefully designed physical spaces. Currently, the company is focused on reinventing schools in Saudi Arabia and operates as a well-funded and profitable entity.
Role Overview
Noon Academy is seeking a Learning Design Manager — Sciences to join its team in Riyadh. This is a full-time management and delivery role, not an academic position focused on writing lessons. The successful candidate will lead the Sciences (Biology / Chemistry) content operation, overseeing the development and timely delivery of high-quality educational content. This role involves ensuring content is built to the required standards by a continuously improving team, rather than individual curriculum design. The Learning Team owns the content engine, covering term plans, session design, question banks, and assessments across various national and international curricula.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of four Design Leads covering Biology (Tahsili), Chemistry (Tahsili), Science (Middle School & Nafes), and Bio & Chem (International), along with content creators and a QA contractor. This includes setting goals, conducting 1:1s, providing feedback, supporting growth, and hiring for open positions.
- Oversee the end-to-end science content roadmap, defining what content is built, in what sequence, by whom, and by when, across Grades 7–12 on both National and International tracks. Maintain real-time awareness of project status and address delays.
- Implement and run operational rituals for capacity planning, production planning, prioritization calls, and unblocking issues to ensure an efficient multi-subject, multi-grade content pipeline.
- Collaborate with Learning Excellence and Head Teachers to establish design standards, review gates, and QA workflows, ensuring content quality is achieved through repeatable processes.
- Utilize existing data (Exit Ticket, Diagnostic, End-of-Chapter, Learning Gain) in partnership with Data and Learning Excellence teams to inform and drive content development changes for subsequent terms.
- Act as the central point for handoffs and coordination across Head Teachers, Learning Excellence, Product, Engineering, Data, Customer Experience, and School Ops to ensure smooth pipeline operations.
- Develop templates, trackers, playbooks, and review rituals to enable content volume growth without a proportional increase in headcount, including the transition towards AI-assisted content production.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience managing people; 5 years preferred, with 3 years acceptable if exceptional in other areas.
- Background in technology or education, ideally both (*, edtech platforms, Saudi tech startups, or learning organizations that ship on a schedule).
- Proven track record of delivery in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Demonstrated ability to be decisive, self-driven, comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, and owning outcomes.
- Must be based in Riyadh.
Impact and Scope
This role offers significant scope from the outset, involving the management of four Design Leads, a contractor pool, and six programs across Grades 7 through 12 on both National and International tracks. As this is a new position, the individual will be instrumental in building and defining the operating system for science content production at Noon Academy. The role reports to the Head of Learning Operations and involves direct collaboration with the Chief Learning Officer, ensuring a direct line to key decisions. Success in this position is measurable through learning gain, exam outcomes, and delivery reliability, providing clear indicators of impact.
Work Type and Location
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within Noon Academy's Learning Team, which is responsible for the content engine integrating remote star teachers, physical classrooms, in-room facilitators, and robust content across various curricula. Salary for this position is not disclosed.
