Job Purpose: The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing maintenance and repair operations for facilities, supervising a team of technicians, and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of maintenance services. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing maintenance teams and projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Oversee maintenance and repair operations for facilities, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
- Assign work orders and tasks to technicians, ensuring timely completion and adherence to service level agreements.
- Coordinate and schedule various maintenance activities, ensuring optimal resource allocation and minimal disruption to operations.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety risks, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their maintenance requirements and address any concerns or issues.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics for maintenance services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, and safety standards in all maintenance activities.
- Manage vendor relationships and maintenance service contracts, including negotiating agreements and monitoring performance.
- Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend asset life.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory levels.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and a customer-focused approach.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the Maintenance Manager or senior management on maintenance operations, performance, and key metrics.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in maintenance technologies.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in maintenance or a related field, with at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other maintenance disciplines.
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, building codes, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in English and computer programs.
- Additional education or certification in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
