About the Role

AECOM is seeking a Lighting and AV Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining advanced lighting and audio-visual systems for various corporate events, venues, and facilities. The role requires collaboration with clients, production teams, and vendors to ensure technical experiences meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement lighting and AV system solutions tailored to client specifications and venue requirements.
• Install, configure, and test lighting fixtures, projectors, screens, audio systems, and related equipment.
• Operate and manage lighting consoles, audio mixers, and control systems during events and productions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform preventive maintenance on all AV and lighting equipment.
• Collaborate with event planners, production managers, and other stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are met.
• Create technical drawings and system designs using CAD and specialized AV design software.
• Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations, electrical codes, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and equipment suppliers to source components and manage inventory.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members during setup and execution.
• Document system configurations, equipment specifications, and maintenance records for future reference.
• Stay current with emerging lighting and AV technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in lighting design, AV engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency with lighting control systems and equipment, including LED fixtures, moving lights, and conventional lighting.
• Strong knowledge of audio-visual systems, including projectors, screens, amplifiers, and mixing consoles.
• Experience with CAD software and AV design tools for system planning and documentation.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols, DMX control systems, and audio/video signal flow.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and safety compliance requirements.
