About the Role

Amazon is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist, Security & Loss Prevention, to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is integral to maintaining the security and operational continuity of Amazon's extensive operations network, which delivers millions of packages to customers daily.

Role Context and Impact

As part of the Global Security Operations organization, the Security and Loss Prevention (SLP) team supports Amazon's business objectives and strengthens its brand. This is achieved by effectively protecting against relevant threats and managing security and loss prevention risks that could jeopardize associates and customers, disrupt business operations, damage assets, or negatively impact brand reputation. The SLP Specialist delivers security as a service to operational sites across the end-to-end supply chain, focusing on protecting people and preventing loss.

Key Responsibilities

• Support business operations resilience by contributing to emergency and crisis planning for sites within the area of responsibility.
• Identify vulnerabilities related to loss, associate experience, and process improvement, defining appropriate mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Serve as a point of contact and coordinate risk management measures with local management and external stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies and industry associations, on all security-related matters.
• Ensure assigned sites comply with Amazon's global security standards.
• Perform regular physical security audits and investigate policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events.
• Collect information during investigations by monitoring systems and tools, analyzing data reports, and conducting interviews to identify process vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to the development of mitigating measures based on investigation findings.
• Maintain the physical integrity of sites by auditing and monitoring the health status of systems, and jointly with subject matter experts and external suppliers, ensure their functionality.
• Interact daily with external security service providers to ensure high-quality security services and a smooth customer experience.
• Act as a point of contact and subject matter expert for multiple internal and external departments (*, legal, HR, security service providers, local law enforcement) on Security and Loss Prevention-related matters.
• Deliver loss prevention-related education and awareness programs to other teams and liaise with various stakeholders on policy and procedure across all management levels.

Basic Qualifications

• Relevant security- or risk-related education or experience (*, security services, asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, inventory management, investigations, supply chain, auditing, compliance, or similar).
• Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• A relevant degree, degree equivalent, or industry certification.
• Relevant experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, and/or management of contract security officers.
• Relevant experience with retail, warehouse, distribution center services, delivery service, or supply chain.
• Relevant experience in working with data.
• Driver’s license.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Riyadh. The specialist will join a team of Security and Loss Prevention professionals who provide security services to business customers across multiple business units within a dedicated geographical area. The role involves daily interaction with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective security and loss prevention.
