About the Role

CEER is seeking a Manager, Financial Risk Management to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is responsible for evaluating, managing, and mitigating financial risks, including market risks with a focus on foreign exchange, commodity price, and rate risks, as well as credit risk. The Manager ensures alignment with CEER’s financial performance objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements, contributing to sustainable financial stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine and evaluate financial risks, including market risks (foreign exchange, commodity price, rate risks) and credit risk, assessing their impact on CEER’s financial performance.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, economic indicators, interest rates, currency movements, and commodity price changes that may affect financial performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate exposure to market risks, including interest rate, foreign exchange, and commodity price risks, and establish related internal policies and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal policies and procedures to manage exposure to credit-related losses and counterparty risks.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial risk models to quantify, monitor, and analyze risk exposures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, internal policies, and industry risk management standards.
  • Promote a risk-aware culture within CEER through guidance, communication, and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Finance division and other divisions to align risk management activities with corporate objectives and financial strategies.

Managerial Accountabilities

  • Achieve assigned objectives by setting individual goals, managing performance, and developing staff.
  • Participate in the development of the section’s business plans in line with department objectives.
  • Ensure effective implementation of policies, procedures, and controls for all assigned activities.
  • Prepare the section's budget and monitor financial performance against it, ensuring activities align with approved guidelines.
  • Manage the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices, considering leading standards, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure all section reports are prepared timely and accurately, meeting CEER’s requirements, policies, and quality standards.
  • Ensure non-disclosure of confidential information within or outside CEER.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment policies and standards across all business functions under the department.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh.
