Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Radian Engineering Consulting Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing the design and supervising the execution of mechanical works within projects, ensuring adherence to approved plans and specifications, and maintaining quality and operational safety. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review plans, technical specifications, and bills of quantities for mechanical works before execution.
• Supervise the implementation of HVAC, plumbing, sanitary drainage, and fire fighting network systems.
• Review shop drawings and approve materials, equipment, and samples in accordance with specifications.
• Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, civil, architectural) to avoid on-site conflicts.
• Inspect and receive works, and monitor pressure tests, commissioning, trial operations, and handover.
• Ensure works comply with the Saudi Building Code, technical requirements, and Civil Defense regulations.
• Review executed quantities and contractor statements, verifying their accuracy.
• Monitor work progress against the timeline and prepare periodic reports for the Project Manager.
• Track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on their resolution until closure.
• Monitor the application of occupational health and safety requirements on site.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Project Manager within the scope of the specialization.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Valid membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems, and relevant standards (SBC, NFPA, ASHRAE).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Revit MEP is a plus.
• Ability to read mechanical plans, bills of quantities, and specifications.
• Proficiency in Arabic, with good knowledge of technical English.
• Coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work in the field and under tight deadlines.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring on-site presence and coordination with various project stakeholders.
