About the Role

The Water Transmission Company (شركة نقل المياه) is seeking an Operations Center Operator to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for maintaining the efficient functioning of the water transmission system. The role involves conducting various operational activities, including the development of shift schedules, monitoring pipelines, analyzing capacity gaps, and consolidating operational reports to ensure the proper functioning of the system.

Core Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across operations systems, practices, cost optimization, and overall productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure strict compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards within WTTCO and related functions, including but not limited to HC, HSSE, Risk, and Cybersecurity.
• Escalate problems promptly to ensure efficient and timely resolution of cases and issues.
• Ensure all work is executed efficiently, aligning with annual business plans, goals, policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
• Comply with safety, quality, and environmental procedures to guarantee employee safety, legislative adherence, and high-quality service delivery.

Operational Duties

• Participate in developing daily shift operation schedules based on demand forecasts, system capacity, shutdown schedules, water supply quantities, and planned interruptions for maintenance.
• Contribute to capacity gap analysis and assist in identifying necessary skills for effective internal team allocation per shift or the appointment of external parties to ensure proper system functioning.
• Assist in investigating encroachments, shutdowns, and performance variances, and contribute to the prompt implementation of mitigation plans and corrective actions.
• Coordinate between the Central Control Room (CCR) and Local Control Room (LCR) to ensure efficient operations in compliance with established plans, standards, and requirements.
• Participate in consolidating operation, accident, and shutdown reports, and analyze the efficiency and performance of operation schedules.
• Contribute to assessing water quality, cooling systems, and pump oil systems performance to identify gaps in quality levels and system efficiency.
• Participate in comparing current forecasts with actual consumption, documenting lessons learned, and developing reports to inform future water forecasts.
• Support the planning and design of all works related to the rehabilitation and replacement of transmission systems equipment.
• Resolve complex issues escalated from the CCR or LCR, finding adequate solutions promptly without interrupting operational activities.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Education: A Diploma’s Degree in a Technical or relevant field.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the operations center of the Water Transmission Company. The role requires active participation in various operational tasks to ensure system integrity and performance.
