About the Role

Master Works, through its subsidiary Adree, is seeking a Performance Test Senior Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on leading performance testing initiatives across enterprise applications, ensuring the delivery of high-performing and scalable solutions.

Role Purpose

The Senior Performance Test Engineer will drive performance engineering efforts, requiring hands-on experience in workload modeling and test automation. This position is critical for identifying bottlenecks, isolating root causes, and providing technical recommendations to optimize system performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the performance test strategy, roadmap, standards, templates, entry/exit criteria, and performance quality gates.
  • Analyze business volumes, usage patterns, architecture, service-level objectives, and nonfunctional requirements to create realistic workload models.
  • Plan and execute load, stress, endurance/soak, scalability, capacity, spike, and volume tests for web, mobile back ends, APIs, integrations, and digital services.
  • Design, develop, review, and maintain performance-test scripts, scenarios, parameterization, correlation, data preparation, and reusable components.
  • Define test-environment, monitoring, data, access, and service-virtualization requirements; coordinate readiness with DevOps and infrastructure teams.
  • Correlate client, server, database, network, container, and application-monitoring data to identify bottlenecks and isolate root causes.
  • Evaluate response time, throughput, concurrency, error rate, resource utilization, capacity, and SLA compliance; translate results into clear technical recommendations.
  • Integrate performance tests and thresholds into delivery pipelines and establish repeatable baseline and trend reporting.
  • Lead defect triage and performance tuning discussions with developers, architects, DBAs, SRE, infrastructure, network, and security teams.
  • Produce test plans, daily/periodic status updates, executive summaries, detailed reports, risks, and release recommendations.
  • Estimate effort, plan assignments, review deliverables, mentor team members, and ensure traceability and audit-ready evidence.
  • Deliver knowledge-transfer sessions and practical coaching on performance testing and the implemented operating model.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of software testing experience, including at least 4 years of hands-on performance testing/engineering.
  • Prior technical or team leadership experience.
  • Advanced practical experience in performance-test scripting, scenario design, correlation, parameterization, execution control, analysis, and diagnostics.
  • Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST/SOAP APIs, web services, authentication, distributed systems, databases, networks, and common performance bottlenecks.
  • Proven ability to derive workload models from production or forecast data and define measurable non-functional acceptance criteria.
  • Experience integrating performance tests with continuous-delivery pipelines and source control.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder-management, documentation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills and Background

  • Experience with enterprise test management, service virtualization, container-platform monitoring, observability, and enterprise API gateways.
  • Experience with mobile back-end performance, cloud/container platforms, resilience/failure testing, and performance-capacity planning.
  • Relevant certifications in performance testing, software testing, Agile, or DevOps.
  • Experience in government, regulated, or large-scale digital-service environments.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to significant enterprise application performance initiatives within Adree, a subsidiary of Master Works.
